Jean C. Nelson Wins the Olmsted Award

The Land Trust is pleased to announce that on the heels of being awarded an honorary doctor of civil law degree from the University of the South (Sewanee), Jeanie Nelson received the Tennessee chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architect’s (ASLA) Olmsted Medal in fall 2015. Recipients are selected on the basis of their commitment to ensuring the health and enjoyment of the environment by humankind.

The award recognizes individuals and organizations that contribute:

  • To the landscape architecture profession in Tennessee
  • To the preservation of the landscape of Tennessee
  • To the enhancement of the physical environment of Tennessee; and
  • To the landscape architecture education.

Jeanie Nelson thanks ASLA and accepts this great honor.
