Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are essential to The Land Trust for Tennessee’s mission. Our volunteers play a significant role in our work and help our team with a wide range of activities, from getting outdoors on protected land across the state to hosting groups at The Land Trust’s Glen Leven Farm in Nashville.
Join us at The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm for monthly Stewardship Days. Volunteers assist with seasonal projects such as maintaining the 1.4-mile Nature Trail, caring for the Education Garden, and removing invasive plant species throughout the 64-acre property. Events and Outreach
Throughout the year, The Land Trust hosts a variety of community and fundraising events at The Land Trust’s Glen Leven Farm in Nashville. Volunteers help with coordination and administrative tasks such as assembling mailings, preparing materials, decorating tables, and setting up and cleaning up for events and outreach programs.
Corporate, scout, and other group volunteer opportunities are also available for stewardship projects and primarily take place at The Land Trust’s Glen Leven Farm in Nashville.
Each year from January through March, The Land Trust monitors over 100,000 acres of protected land throughout the state. Volunteers visit properties, meet with landowners, and share their observations with our stewardship team. Note: Volunteer orientation for monitoring takes place in November for the following January-March season.
