You can transfer appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual fund shares you have owned for more than one year to The Land Trust for Tennessee. The Land Trust then sells the securities and uses the proceeds to directly support its conservation work. Download our Gift of Appreciated Securities Form here.

IRA Charitable Rollover
The IRA Charitable Rollover allows taxpayers age 70 1/2 or older to make gifts up to $100,000 annually from their individual retirement accounts to charity – tax-free. Contact your tax advisor to see if this option works best for you.
Gifts from a Retirement Plan or Life Insurance
You can name The Land Trust for Tennessee as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or other qualified plan.
You can designate The Land Trust to receive all or a portion of the balance of a plan or policy you own, which passes to The Land Trust after your death.
