Make a Planned Gift

Making a planned gift:

Making a planned gift through your will helps us preserve the beauty and character of Tennessee’s special places. As these decisions are deeply personal we like to discuss with you, in confidence, your goals and choices of legacy gift options. When you make a planned gift, you become part of our legacy society, helping us to secure our future.

Gifts from a retirement plan:

You can name The Land Trust for Tennessee as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other qualified plan by designating The Land Trust to receive all or a portion of the balance of your plan through your plan administrator. The balance in your plan passes to The Land Trust after your death. This allows you to avoid the potential double taxation your retirement savings would face if you designated these assets to your heirs, and you continue to take regular lifetime withdrawals.
