Conservation Transaction Director
Emma Davidson, our Conservation Transaction Director, started as a volunteer, and we quickly knew we had to make sure she stayed on for good. After finishing law school and debating on whether she actually wanted to practice in a firm, Emma found the perfect match at The Land Trust. She helps us with conservation easements and all the background work that leads to more protected acres of beloved Tennessee land.
Emma grew up in New York City, and started out a true city girl, but with parents passionate about conservation and travel as a form of education, she soon realized a love for other places and cultures. At Duke, where Emma majored in psychology and biology, she met a southern boy who quickly convinced her of the amazing food, waters, and landscapes The South had to offer. Emma and her husband, Patrick, spent six wonderful years in Colorado where she earned her law degree and got to explore the wild Rocky Mountain terrain. The South called them back last year, and they settled in Nashville in May.
Emma is greatly enjoying her role at the Land Trust for Tennessee where she gets to use her legal training to support the work of a impacting organization that will protect the lands of her new home state in perpetuity.
